Ewa Ewa Hari Raya -Malik Ridzuan
"Tom tam bola
Kain langsir ela ela
Nenek rambut putih
Datuk janggut merah
Emak jangan berleter
Bapak jangan marah
Jangan masuk kolong
Hari ini hari raya!"
Went out to Geylang bazaar as it would be every year. In the afternoon, when we're fasting, and walking around in the congested place (but not like a moshpit every night). I really hate it. Because I don't usually like to use lots of energy walking around alot, especially in a stuffy and sardine-packed place like Geylang during the Ramadhan period. It only makes me weak and breathless. And that's what I experienced just now, as I would every year, without fail.
Shopped for only 2 hours, because there wasn't much variety in guys' traditional clothes. Probably the ratio of NICE girls' clothes is to guys' clothes is 5:1. Most of the clothes there are so plain and boring. But who am I to choose?
This year, only my mother and me went to Geylang. Was supposed to go yesterday but because of Shisha I had to postpone it to today instead. Anyways, the rest (my mother, 1 minah and my lil sis) went there yesterday.
Went round looking for nice clothes, and bought 1 red set. Also bought the Hari Raya CD that was advertised on television.
That memory came back to haunt me.
A few years ago, on one night when my mother and us 3 siblings were roaming around the Geylang bazaar, I happened to lay my eyes on this girl, which automatically took my breath away. But as I looked around turned back, she was gone. Oh well. =(
For this year's raya, how great would it be to see a bonded family wearing clothes with different colours?*sarcasm*
And what more with the situation I have yet to confirm with the minahs staying over? Not only that, my father kicked 2 of the minahs out (one of them being my sis). So how? Tell me what to do? Where's the raya spirit if one of the family members is missing?
------------------------------------------------
Hooray for raya! I'm listening to Hari Raya songs to get me in the mood. It's not there yet. Maybe never will.

Sesuci Lebaran -Siti Nurhaliza
Went out with Shaq, Atika and Mun to Marina Square. Initial plan was to break fast at Cavana and then watch a horror movie called Mirrors. But because the movie timeslots was too inappropriate (4pm or 9pm), we decided to change to bowling instead. And besides, I prefer bowling to paying to scare myself to death.
But the plan is further changed when we found out that CAVANA HAS CLOSED DOWN when we arrived at the place where Cavana used to. Now in its place is a jap restaurant. Forgot the name, but it's similar to Watafuku or something like that. Who cares.
And so we discussed there and then, in front of the directory, on alternative places. Eventually we decided on Swensens.
It was about 6.15 when we got served (or rather, shifted) to our seats. And it was starting to get cold. And hungry. Furthermore, it's situated just beside the FI track. As time passes, the blaring wheels as they screeched the track became more frequent and it was becoming harder to eat. Anyway, here are the dishes we ordered.
Shaq ordered fish and chips. Mun ordered Chicken Baked Rice.Breaded Chicken ordered by Atika. And Mushroom and Chicken Spaghetti for me.And after that is:Lazy to name all the flavours. Not like I can remember all of them anyway.
Finished paying the bill ($87) and took the exit that lead outside, to warm up from the blizzard inside. The sound blaring from the F1 cars' engines was much louder when we were outside. And whenever the cars passed by we could feel the vibrations under our feet. And the noise was getting too loud for us to bear, we went back in as quickly as we could. Inside, we could still hear the sound of the cars. Still loud though, but it's significantly lesser and we didn't have to plug our fingers into our ears. Enough of descriptions. Next stop: bowling!
Played 2 games. And the lane's system was buggy. Because Shaq rolls the bowling ball so slowly that even when it has reached the other end of the lane, the gate won't come down, so she gets an extra turn. Most of the time. In addition to the faulty system, me and Shaq got 1 free strike each at different points of the game! How? There were no pins and the gate was open. So just throw a random ball in it and you'll get it! Haha! Overall it was fun, and entertaining.
This is how "The King" throws his ball. Haha!
I threw the ball too fast. Shadow hand. Woo!
Girlfriends.
This is the score at the end of the 2nd game. It was a close game. I won Mun by just 1 point! Round 7 didn't detect any fall of pins even though I DID knock some of them down.
Packed up, returned the shoes, and left the place. We started making our way back to the MRT station. The F1 pratice run was still running and we could still hear the cars blazing around the track. Oh well, it doesn't matter now, because we're leaving the used-to-be-much-less-noisy shopping mall.
The train back was like a roller coaster ride for both Atika and Shaq as they tried to get their balance throughout the earlier parts of the journey. Seeing them rock and finding their center of gravity as the train jerked was entertaining. Haha.
At times like my head is OMGWTFI'MHORRIBLYDISFIGUREDDOYOUSEEHTHATHINGONMYCHIN???!!!
As we all had nowhere else to go, we decided to chill somewhere. And we all alighted at Boon Lay. Slacked at the badminton court just beside Shaq's block and chatted for a bit. Until 11.30, we sent Shaq to the lift underneath her block, and then Atika's.
ROTI!
Surprisingly, there were still trains in service when we reached the station. So we took the train that's about to depart. Dropped at lakeside after bidding goodbye and made my way home.

Soulmate -Natasha Bedingfield
My mind is always in a mess, that's why you don't see me posting something long about a certain subject. On the contrary, or probably ironically, I'm not the kind who ponders about something for a long time.
Woken up again by the minahs, blasting trance/techno songs in the living. And budak hingus was present as well. As usual, tried my very best to sleep, only to give myself a headache. And it's still present now.
My left eye hurt.
On another note, I'm not looking forward to Hari Raya. Probably it's going to turn up just like last year.
---------------------------------------
I'm now kind of fully aware that I've changed. I'm turning more selfish than ever. Once I told myself, "It's good to be selfish sometimes," but that sentence has been stuck in my head since. And now it seems like I tend to care less for my friends. Compassion and the need to help others. The urge. It's going down.

Whatever.

Are You Gonna Go My Way -Lenny Kravitz
Went to the Games Convention Asia (GCA) with Alvin, Wayne, Iskandar and Allen. Very entertaining I must say. Haha. The first thing that caught my eyes was the Rock Band competition!
This band has quite a good vocalist. I don't know the band name though.
Oh yea, Wilma Flinstone plays Rock Band! Wow pun!
The vocal is quite good. But Jo's voice is nicer. Haha.
The band called Seven Three. Named after the number on the vocalist's shirt I suppose. Haha.
We, especially me stayed to watch the qualifying rounds. Ended quite fast, seeing that we all arrived quite late and they were accepting last few applications. I wanted to join, but none of my friends plays Rock Band. =(
Once the whole thing ended, we walked around the place.
Wayne's favourite, wrestling! I don't know where does the alien fit in this genre...
This is just freaky... BUY OR DIE! *or end up like me, promoting videos featuring me in a stoned state*
Dota championships.
A booth from NYP, featuring the car racing simulator. Kinda cool.
Walked around, and we came across one of stages in the room. The finals of the cosplay competition! My first time attending such an event. And I applaud the effort they put in.
From left: Kamen Rider (Ace!), Crab Zombie, forgot, forgot name of character from Dota, and Blood Elf from Dota.
And all the finalists.
Tied to fourth place, Kamen Rider and Kasumi Todo.3rd place, the Blood Elf from Dota.2nd place. Forgot the name, but it's a character from Dota. And I don't play that game. =/And first place, Warhammer Orc, from Dota if i'm not wrong. Well, he wins himself a Nintendo Wii, but due to immobility issues, he can't carry it with him. Here's a suggestion: Put it in that hammer of yours. Haha!
Once everything is done, we got up and walked around the other side of unexplored territory. Alvin and Wayne wanted to queue up for goodie bags, but because the queue is bloody long, and you need to BUY some credits or whatever, they left.
Went back to the stage again because they were showcasing Guitar Hero World Tour (Guitar Hero 4). The interface is so similar to Rock Band, and the first thought that hit my mind was that it was Rock Band because they had vocals and drums, with 2 extra pieces for the drums to imitate the crash cymbals.
Walked around the place, now covering the whole of the convention, and came back to the stage again. And then , they're having the Rock Band qualifying rounds. The host was VJ Denise Keller.
The same band again, Seven Three.
The band named Redemption if i'm not wrong. The vocalist liked to screamo, and they played Enter Sandman. There were "woos" here and there, and they finished the song triumphantly, only to found out that they failed, completing 99% of the song. "Too good" was what Denise gave to them. Haha, but it was a good show. They played Say It Isn't So -Weezer and expected, they passed the song.
Left the place after a few more contestants because it got kinda boring.
The set for the new Guitar Hero, excluding the microphone.
Went to KFC and broke fast there. And there pasted on the old guy's face, is the sticker needed to enter the convention centre. Not much after that. Me and Alvin played LAN with the waks after dinner, and reached home atround midnight.

Style -Kana Nishino
My fellow muslim friends and their respective families have started their Hari Raya preparations. Baking various delicious treats, buying new matching clothes to fit the family theme and whatnots. Mine? Not even a hint of any preparations whatsoever. Unless you count breaking fast with lontong in. Other than that, zilch.
Will this be another monotonous Hari Raya celebration? We didn't even have any of our relatives visitng our house the past year, as much as I wanted them to come. Furthermore, the minahs staying over at my house. How will it turn out? Only God knows.

Complicated -Avril Lavigne
We're teenagers. Angst is inevitable.
I'm losing the mood to come to class. It's only the 3rd week and I've skipped 4 lessons. Hooray for motivation!
I'm slowly losing my happiness. Minahs draining it away, screwing up the daily life i've used to become accustomed to. Yet, the only thing I can do is to patiently wait till the end of the holy month so that I can vent it somewhere, or maybe on something.
----------------------------------------------
My only escape from the everyday bustle, is what I enjoy doing the most: Listening to music.
Furthermore, listening to songs that reminds of the time when I was in primary school. =)

Here are the prepaid cards Jingy and me bought during the Gamefest on August 5th. I don't know which is mine, because both cards belong to her because she wants to collect them. But the cash will be mine though... Well, excluding this, I only have 1 Audition-themed prepaid card. =(

Hey My Friend -Tommy Heavenly
Was on the way home from school one day when I found myself alighting at Bukit Gombak and walking towards Guilin. But not before stopping by the loo.
Suffering from fatigue. And my head (especially the left side) was pounding heavily as I slowly made my way towards the usual spot where I would sit when I get there. Not that I frequent that place. Just so happens I like that place.
It must've been a long time since I last stepped into Guilin. So much have changed. It looks like they made some 'floral arrangements' to parts of the place. Well, despite the fact that I had only observed the area where I was making my way to a isolated part of the lake, it had changed quite significantly. Here is one of them: The staircase leading up and then around the path towards the lake. Walking along the path already took up lots of energy, similar to a frail old man walking for 10 meters. The place was still much the same since the last time I set foot. I took a seat on a rock near the lake, just coincidentally having to see what looked like a monitor lizard departing into the lake, swimming away, as though intimidated by my presence.
Can't really see much, that thing in the middle is the head, moving away from the rocks.Admiring the view of my surroundings. The formations on the rocks at a distance away from me. The serenity of the lake. However, it didn't really make my head any calmer. But I still sat there quietly, trying to ease my mind. Took a very short nap on the rock, sitting, my legs tucked in. Couldn't really focused on getting my much needed rest, as the rock I was sitting on was very uneven. Well, I managed to at least try and relax my eyes.
Sat there for about an hour from 5.30pm. During which I saw a group of guys skipping stones. Kept me entertained for a bit. Well, eventually, my head was still in pain but significantly lesser. I slowly got up and walked back to MRT station, leaving the place of great peace.

Like Humans Do -David Byrne
A 29th August post.
Another W65N BBQ organised by Haneey. This time it's potluck where people bring their own stuffs. And those who aren't will have to bring at least something. Haha.
That was the time when we celebrated Haneey's belated birthday. I'm not even sure whether it's a surprise or not. Because it didn't seem to go as plan. Well, what matters is that she was happy. =)
The cake.
And the birthday girl.
And group shots.
Everyone who attended:It was not long before the BBQ commenced. Credits to Ben for starting the fire, and everyone else who BBQ-ed, as well as those who ate. Haha. And we BBQ-ed till night time, and those who weren't doing the cooking played games. And I had real fun playing the games. =)Give me tempo. Ready, GO!Nobody stayed behind to thon, and around 10+, we started clearing the place and I left for home in the cab with Linus and Alvin.
